These are viral infections on our feet. They are warts and can occur in any position on our feet but typically under the sole. Sometimes they don’t require any treatment at all as they can go away on their own as the body's own immune system can deal with the virus. Plus once it has done this generally speaking they don't return due to natural immunity
However, if they are sore and causing problems they can be dealt with in a number of ways, including cryotherapy.
Tips
- Try to keep your feet dry by drying them well after showering and if you have excessive moisture on your feet then the use or surgical spirits to help dry the skin up can really help.
- Don't rub or pick them as they can spread easily.
- If you have a painful one then generally it is better to take pressure off the area with felt in the shoe.
- Acid treatments can sometimes be painful and cause secondary infections.
- There are some more natural non caustic remedies, see the store for more details.
- If you feel you may benefit from a
video consultation appointment from a Podiatrist you could always book in to get more specific help and advice.
